Dude, you totally exposed America's weakness to the enemy. If word gets out that we're completely dependent on Sweden for our IKEA furniture and meatballs, I mean, it's potentially game-over!

You're correct about that Swedish sub. It runs on diesel, but the special thing about it is that it uses a Sterling engine, which is significantly quieter and more efficient than a standard diesel engine. The U.S. Navy was impressed with the Swedish sub's stealth and attack capabilities and leased the sub and its crew from Sweden for about 18 months after the exercise so they could learn to counter it. Very impressive.

Fun fact the US navy is the second largest airforce in the world tight behind the US airforce

The gripen and f22 are different. The Gripen is like a hardened marine. The F22 is like black ops. They both have different roles, different tools. You can’t place a ninja in the front line of a samurai flank without the right armor and heavy weaponry you can’t do clandestine missions or assassinations without being silent and agile. Different tools for different jobs

Former ground pounder here, Forward Observer in Germany 1987-1989. Desert Sheild and Desert Storm 90-91. Iraq 2003-04. Don't forget the 20 plus million able bodied veterans who can still lace up boots. Just don't bother me before noon-ish. Bring coffee.

Fun fact: The United States Navy operates the 2nd largest air force in the world, second only to the United States Air Force.

Not to mention It has been conservatively estimated that there are 2, 308, 000 hunters in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan and Idaho combined. The hunters in those five states alone would comprise the largest army in the world. The number of hunters in Texas would be the largest standing army in the world all by itself.

Some fun facts about the US defensive systems on the mainland. After WW2, many of the defense systems were created to also be able to protect Canada. So one of the reasons you will see the ICBM missiles coming out of Northern midwest states, other than that they are wide open and the US government already owned the land, was to be able to completely defend Canada and the US at the same time.

You can also see the defense strategy in the Canadian infrastructure where many Canadian Providences are better connected via road and train lines to US states than to other Canadian Providences. Not only was it an economic boon to be more incorporated but if something happened Canadians could easily come into the US or Americans could easily go up. They are also starting to have talks about more fully integrating the US and Canadian militaries to better help protect one another!

The reason nuclear weapons was mentioned despite many nations (even smaller nations) having them is because the U.S. is one of the only countries with large numbers of *intercontinental* ballistic missiles.

Some countries like North Korea have a couple of them or even several dozen for big countries like the UK but the US has 400 so it’s an overwhelming number.

Sweden has very good diesel subs. (The Gripen is a good jet, but not stealthy.) Note: It's one thing for a sub to sneak into range to hit a carrier; it's another thing to sink it. The U.S. military tried to sink one of its decommissioned carriers, a predecessor to the Nimitz class. Day after day they pounded it; it wouldn't sink. Eventually troops had to go aboard and place explosives at specific parts of the vessel to sink it.

Swedes are incredible engineers and craftsman. But the US doesn't really need to use Swedish made weaponry, as good as it is. I know the Swedish jet is one of the best in the world However, given the US budget and research focus, we really do develop leading edge military hardware. If we buy from another nation, it's a budgetary decision (why re-invent the wheel, scenario).

We're also known as the United States of Skynyrd.🕺 On a serious note, kudos to Sweden. You guys have some outstanding military hardware such as your fighter planes and the Carl Gustav anti-tank missle, which is considered one of the best in the world. In fact, both the USA and Canada buy these missles from Sweden. You guys is smart peepul!! 👍

I’m from Minnesota USA and your “accent” sounds like you’re from HERE! We’re teased about it but I didn’t realize until now how close it actually is to a Scandinavian accent! 😊

America created technology in the 1980's that China and Russia are still trying to catch up 😳 With love to Scandinavia! I am American, but a huge Norway fan. Can't wait to visit. Just remember, this is the stuff they tell us about.

Former US sailor here. After the cold war we let our antisubmarine warfare capabilities basically stagnate. I remember losing a lot of wargames to submarines. In the last few years the US Navy actually contracted with Sweden to use your submarine to help us bring our ASW abilities up to where they need to be. The thought was...if we can track and kill the quietest sub on the planet anything else should be easy.

They left out 1 important reason. There's a song here in America, that was quite controversial when it came out. I think that song does a good job of explaining the last reason. Toby Keith- Courtesy of the red, white and blue. Thanks for the content, and the furniture 😂.

My cousin Ryan Tyler is known in the US military as one of the best drone pilots they have. And won the best accuracy percentage in the last 30 years and he just turned 20. I say "win" because whoever had the best accuracy was allowed to make a phone call home for the holidays. If you didn't know, when you start they don't let you call home.

Also, unmentioned in the video, the US has land, sea, and air-based offensive laser weapons aka DEW.
Ok, now, you can slink away into the shadows.
The US total nuclear arsenal is 8, 771+ not just over 400.
