Mohsen Moghri – An Axiological Teleology: How value ultimately explains existence

Since it is rational to demand explanations for every existing thing, it also seems rational to ask: Why is there a whole world of existing things? One main candidate for an abstract explanatory feature is the world’s value: only through the world’s value can one provide an ultimate explanation for existence.

Mohsen Moghri has recently received his Ph.D. in Philosophy of Science from Sharif University of Technology. He has since been Junior Researcher at Research Center for Culture, Art, and Communication in Tehran, Iran and Visiting Lecturer at several local universities. His areas of specialization are Metaphysics, Philosophy of Science, and Philosophy of Religion.
