Johnny Depp Takes Stand To 'Clear' Name In Defamation Trial Against Amber Heard

In an attempt to “clear” his name Johnny Depp took the stand to testify during his defamation trial against his former wife Amber Heard. Depp said, “Never did I myself reach the point of striking Mrs. Heard in any way nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.”

To everyone saying he’s talking too carefully and it makes him look suspicious: You do realize he is taking the stand for cross examination today? Not only has he always talked like this, but any misstep in wording can be used against him today. That’s just how trials work. You have to talk carefully whether your innocent or not.

She AH had an agenda from day one and that was to advance her career by being married to him. She couldn’t take it when he filed for divorce, and was clearly planning this all along. There is this strange kind of stereotype that if there is abuse in a relationship it has to be a man's fault. The other stereotype is that if someone was drunk or drugged we automatically make an assumption that this person can be a problem. These are really toxic beliefs that should be thrown out of the window because the world we are living in is not that "simple". And often a woman can be guilty, or a sober person can use an advantage of a drunken/drugged person ...
