A&A&Zombies. Love the troops turning into zombies. I am a hex n counter guy, but we almost expand our horizons. It's just with the areas there is not enough proper room for the bloody ship planes and soldiers and that map needs to be 2/3 as big again as it is, or make the plastic ships figures smaller. and the plastic freaking chips for quantity that sucks. Cheap n lazy. thankfully I found it in the bargain bin at Barnes and nobles book sellers.

The Time of Crisis expansion takes the game to an 11. You need to get it.

I think Forgotten Waters also has the crossroads system. It's by the same publisher ^^

Forgotten Waters is a Crossroads game. It has replaced the card story system with an app. It has voice actors and ambient sounds. I know app integration is controversial but it works really well here.

Gen7 is another so-called "Crossroads" game. I haven't played it, so I can't say to what extent it implements a crossroad card system similar to Dead of Winter.

Did you played War of the Ring yet? I would like to know where my favorite game would sit in your hierarchy. The Battle of Five Armies does not count, it's 3 times less decisions, although it has an improved combat system.

The duke is great - I had the same experience as you where I bought it and then didn’t play it for a couple years. I’m glad that I finally did!
