Hey there, welcome to the Mentor Center! In this video, I explain the idea of SOH CAH TOA. In the process, I teach the 3 main trigonometric functions: sine, cosine, and tangent. Hope you enjoy.

ok so a bit confuse on something here. When does one start applying SOH CAH and TOR? cause every single time i'm looking at this, i'm not sure what of the 3 i'm suppose to use. I always am a number guy, so words are quite confusing to add into this.

AD guy JACk took his vacation from his job at the advertising agency at a jungle. 'Cause (COS) AD guy JACk was on vacation and wanted to have fun, he took a ride on the back of a hippopotamus (HYPOTENUSE). (ADJ/HYP).
Since (SIN) an octopus (opposite) saw him having so much fun, she decided to ride the hippo (HYP) herself. (OPP/HYP).
Next, AD guy JACk decided to lie down and get a TAN (Tangent). Being a GENTleman, he let the octopus (OPP) rest on his stomach. (OPP/ADJ).
Remember the hippo (Hypotenuse) is never on top (ouch), and the octopus (OPP) is too small and delicate to ever be underneath.
(I just made this up. Don't shoot me.)
