I'm shooting high speed sync flash photography portraits at f1.8 outdoors.. Very shallow depth of field to blur out background to create abstract non distracting backdrops so can shoot virtually anywhere.. I first set the background exposure with shutter speed (in bright daylight on a sunny day in the shade it can be around 1/2000 sec) & keep the aperture at f1.8 and ISO around 100 or 200.. If these settings are fixed I find I have to then experiment with my key and kicker speedlights' power manually to visually get the exposure about right on my subject..do you have any tips on using a light meter to figure out the correct flash power a lot quicker if the aperture, shutter speed and ISO are already fixed (I have the Sekonic L-308S)? Thank you

I have the Sekonic L-308, and i cannot set my time to what I want. It sets from 60 to 125. It won't let me do 80, or 100. I need help.

hi, I have this meter, but I can't chance for priority aperture, I need take pictures to f/1.8 but can't change the aperture, you can explain how to? thanks you so much, I have the L-308S-U

Thanks, one more question - I am using a light meter, I am outside in the sun. My meter says to get the best exposure (assuming 1/50 shutter speed - the optimum rate for video) and a 100 ISO, the meter says use a F9.0. which cannot be achieved with my fixed aperture lenses. any thoughts? Thanks again.

My l308 xu won't let me raise the shutter speed above 100 in any mode. I can lower speed, but not raise above 100. Brand new.
