Finally getting a chance to review one of the best rations on the market! Got this from Drew78 a little while ago and have been looking forward to it ever since! Sadly, though, even the best rations can have items that go bad, and this ration was no exception. The whole ration itself was slightly past expiry date, but the particular item that went bad should have lasted for a few more years easily.

Drew is an awesome guy to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone.
Check out Drew78's Ebay store - RATIONs & MoRE for a wide selection of domestic and foreign rations and MRE at the following link:

in the blå band breakfast bag there are lines with different letters on them and on the back it says what letter you are supposed to fill it up to with water.

kinda funny to see Blå band breakfast in an MRE in Sweden blå band is more known for making different sauces and soups.

Very cool ration !!  Meal will be good, despite expiratory date, LOL.  Yes, they pick the fist date due, have seen this before. Good looking spread, and part 1 !!!! Good looking breakfast!!  Unsure on yoghurt flakes. LOL, You were not !! Sad it turned sour.  Rest looked good however !! Part 2 will restore your faith, I feel confident!  Better things await!  Peace, John, AKA    Magnum.

In Australia, fast food and other similar places are required by law to list the caloric value of their menu items and to list that the average food intake for an adult is 8, 700 KJ per day. This translates to 2, 079 KCal. So this ration is over two-and-a-quarter times that!

Swedish soldiers must burn up a lot of calories on exercise- and this isn’t even listed as being a “cold weather” item. Edit: hence the FIVE isotonic drinks.

We actually have those Blå Band meals in Finnish rations as well... Or at least we had, haven't seen any in a while.
We have those Orifo drinks also. The peach flavor is the absolute best in my opinion. I'd drink 'em daily if I had the chance :D

4 course Swedish was one of my first international 24h rations. Also most disappointing. Far from being one of the best one in my opinion, but we all have different taste.

I really didn't expect that item to be the bad one, either. Heh, your reaction was good, though. :)
BTW, xylitol is a natural sweetener and actually good for your teeth.

Interesting video, shame about the yoghurt mix. Just FYI normally you'd eat the candy before the chewing gum.
