Your videos have been extremely helpful! I have had epilepsy since the age of 12 and the age of 37 they took me off meds, and I said I had dissociative seizures. I believed the doctors, and obviously, I started having seizures again, especially in sleep frontall lobe seizures. If it wasn't for a friend saying how restless I was in my sleep I would never of known I was having them cos they don't wake me up. And then I rhough possible anxiety but now I realise that the anxiety I feel before a seizure (that sometimes happens in the afternoon) is actually an aura! The last 2 increases of my lamictal have worked wonders! So thank you! It's been unresolved for 6 years! So ve nice to get back on track!

I was recently diagnosed with epilepsy this month. I had three seizures in one day. I was eventually sedated and was admitted in the hospital that night, so they could run more tests the next morning because they couldn’t that night. But I ended up going home with anti seizure meds and a diagnosis of epilepsy. My first seizure was back in January of this year. But the thing is I bounced back after that seizure. But after this seizure well multiple in one day I’m strangely still not feeling okay. I awoke the next day feeling very very happy like super happy for the next few days I was very happy. But then suddenly I started noticing changes physically like my heart races randomly and I have chest pain where my left arm will feel prickly or numb. I have blurry vision. I feel sick to my stomach often. I randomly have flashes of memories so vividly and the smells are so strong. I remember my boyfriend driving me to work we drove past a laundromat and gas station. I had a flash of such a vivid memory and it was gone. But all I remember feeling was confusion. Then I randomly had a weird taste in my mouth a few days before. But idk why. I haven’t had a seizure. But I could be very calm then suddenly anxious out of nowhere. Just confusing

I had auras for 2 years & had no idea what they were, just thought they were panic attacks. Now here I am 2 years later getting treated for it. Would you say I most likely have partial seizures?

Often times a full tonic clonic will follow behind an aura so when that’s the case how have you in your practice treated it if the frequency of the auras is the same as the frequency in a full tonic clonic for generalized I hope I’m asking the question in the right way thanks

For years I didn't know what these were and would call them "episode's", until I had a full blown seizure at work in Nov. I had the aura's for a cpl years, always the week before my period.

My daughter 18, special needs is having 20-30 subclinical seizures an hour and I am getting no help and they are saying not to treat them? She has kcnt1 epilepsy and. Wife recently had two seizures within a year of each other, never had one before, I was thinking lack of sleep, stress? She had both because we were on vacation with our 1 now 2 year old.. Can that happen? Plus she doesn't have any warning signs, she gets rigid and I do everything I can to gently get her on her side and get medical help right away

Can somebody have epilepsy with no family history because mine started at 16 years but seizures occurs once in a month. Can I send the hospital report so that you can conclude something about it?

I have Auras but very infrequent. Last one I had was over 7 months ago. They’re not getting worse. If anything they’re getting less frequent.
What treatment were you recommending? Expensive meds perhaps? 🤔

If all auras are seizures. Then why do they call some of them migraine auras? And i can't remember the type of seizure, but there is a type that looks like migraine attack. Simple partial or focal aware seizure I think they might be called. Can you tell the difference of migraine attack and that without test. I think I heard somewhere it depends on the duration of the seizure or attack.
