To show the scope of just how big 310 decibels is: It’s 10^16 times louder than the passenger plane taking off next to your ear, which is enough to rupture your eardrums. The difference between these magnitudes is (roughly) the same as comparing one millimeter with the distance from the sun to Pluto, and then back to the sun, and then to Jupiter.
