The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

How do you think MJ’s legacy changes if he only retired once?

it's so weird how some 1984 footage is 10 times crispier than some of the early 2000's clips we see all the time....

Jordan will see this video, take it personally, go back in time and prove you wrong

Olajuwan v. Jordan in the finals is an all time what if, and would've been epic.

that 93 "retirement" is still one of the biggest what if's in NBA history. leaving at the peak of your powers. I rem being devastated that fall of 93 as a kid

I think Jordan's Retirement helped him stay fresh and less worn down after 2 years.
I also believe that him losing in 1995 gave him something to "take personal, " thus leading to 72-10 in 96. I think he wouldn't have been as dominant that year w/o retirement.

I feel like, if Jordan didn’t retire in ‘98 he’d still leave the Bulls

I think one thing you forgot to highlight is in this hypothetical he now has a 4peat and a 3peat instead of two 3peats. That's insane.

If anyone could do it, it would be Jordan.
After I watched ‘The Last Dance’, I understood why Jordan was so successful.
He has an insane competitive gene unlike any person I’ve ever seen or even thought was possible.
Great videos by the way.❤

Watching jordan was like watching tiger woods. Gaurunteed amazing plays every time you watched them play. Every single game you were getting their absolute best and it was awesome. These type or people have a drive to them thats above everyone else's

Honestly, if they beat Detroit in 1990, they would have won the finals that year. Probably 89 as well. The Bulls were the only challenge Detroit had those 2 years in the playoffs.

Jonny, can you do a video on the hypothetical 1999 all star teams? Since there was no game due to a lockout.

8 rings if Phil Jackson stayed for 1999. Also, with a strike shortened 1999 season, that old Bulls core would take advantage with less games to beat San Antonio. Also, without Phil, the Spurs would completely own the early 00s because Shaq & Kobe would not mesh w/o Phil.

The pic of LeBron in the thumbnail is hilarious

Fair speculation all around. Fact remains, MJ still the goat!

If he never retired and won like 2 extra rings, in like 95 and 99 respectively, the goat debate wouldn't even be a thing. Don't think even bron fans would argue that resume lol

Burnout is a real thing. He may have needed that time off to recharge mentally

Jordans first two retirements were not just a part of his career, but also a testimony to his character. Jordan did only things he wanted to do by 100%. At that time of his life his retirements felt right to him and he did it. Under the same circumstances I see no option anyone could derail his decisions. And that's also a fascinating part of his career, life and legacy.

Phil Jackson is probably the best coach of all time. yet BOTH the Bulls and the Lakers fired him….could you potentially make a video discussing that?

Crazy how in 88 we don’t talk about how he shot 53 % on 24.5 FGA per game imagine he took ever shot ever game he’d avg like 46 points on 40 % shooting
