How to Use a Chronograph Watch

Today I'll be showing you exactly how to use a chronograph watch.

Essentially a chronograph is a watch with a built-in stopwatch. You can usually tell if a watch is a chronograph if it has a set of subdials and two pushers found on the side of the case.

I'll be using a Seiko SSC911P Speedtimer as an example, but this tutorial should be applicable to all kinds of chronograph watches. Just keep in mind there are small differences between models, but the basic principles of this stopwatch will help you with any similar watch you decide to pick up.

The pushers on the side can be labelled as 'A' (top button), or 'B' (bottom button)

A: Start, Stop, Resume

B: (when stopped) Reset, Split, Split Release

can i play with the small 60-second dial on the top left? Or is there a way to stop it? I just don't understand when I record time if it messes up my actual time or is that the function of the small one to keep ticking for no loss of time?

Doesn't the red (second hand) move like it ordinarily would? Or does it only move when you use the timer function?

small second hand works, but the pushers don't, in terms of the watch being charged it's in the middle of F and E? I haven't wore it in a few months, what could be the reason?

Why do you need three small dials with one hand to do that instead of one dial with three hands?

Is not correct. What is the use chronograph? Chronograph is for the deep of the sea, Cjhrono means water of the sea. Tachymeter is used for the speed of a car but a little wrong on it. UNDERSTAND!!!

Most don't work or re-set to 0, even on better watches--don't waste your time.
