yes, you can love your body. but when you're denying the fact that you're slowly killing your body, that isn't okay.

She is a liar though. She says she is a size 22. I'm shorter than she is and I'm a size 22, and I'm half her size-- she is twice my size. If she was so body positive, why on Earth does she lie about her size?

She has a beautiful face, that's for sure - but that is it!! I refuse to believe that being SO overweight is healthy for ones body! Heck no!!! Tess; get off your butt and celebrate your body by taking CARE of it!!

"Body positive" in this regard is an oxymoron.

While I accept it's part of her freedom of speech to express this nonsense, this should not be celebrated. Whenever I see an obese person, the first thing I feel is pity and grossed out by them. Obesity should not be celebrated, it should be seen as a medical issue that should be resolved, like those suffering from Anorexia. Fat Acceptance should not be getting others to think you are attractive even though you are fat, or that being obese is "ok", it should be accepting that you at a disproportionately high risk for a number of chronic health problems and you should get that under control. Don't buy into the lie that all body shapes are beautiful. A person's starved nearly to death is not beautiful, and neither is someone who is eating themselves nearly to death.

Same people that would gladly point out an anorexic person is too skinny.... We shouldn't be celebrating being unhealthy

I read her brother's review of her book, and he wrote that most of it is not true. Weird.

She looks stylish but struggles to breathe. Comon now.

Her husband looks like the guy you avoid talking to at a party because he's going to bring up politics in the first 30 seconds of any conversation. Also, obesity is not 'courageous' for those saying how brave she is.

I think what tess is promoting is disgusting and should be banned. I obviously don't know her and she might be a lovely person but that is besides the point she is promoting obesity not pluss size models that is a very big difference. It is normalising obesity which is wrong. People die from being fat. So many health problems, like cancer and heart attacks.
