Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! When she first went into the room and saw the money, she counted and said “哇靠、這麼多⋯”, which means “damn, thats a lot!” She probably later on used an app to translate the note. When Kara spoke to her about the tip, she said “its too much”, “is this even possible?”, “im scared”, “you scared me”. After the hug, she said “im about to cry”. She spoke in a respectful way.

I looked it up online and the average hotel cleaner in Singapore makes approx $1000 USD per month. So you just gifted her 2 weeks salary. Very lovely and thoughtful gesture.

I salute the housekeeper's principle, she think of her job professionally..even calling her supervisor to know if it's really okay for her to have it. The integrity being so polite and also careful not to mess up with her job. What a nice worker. Thank you for making her day. That's a big help for her and all people now in the world need such a helping hands of care.💞

This is one of the reason we like to travel outside of the US because tips are usually not expected and so much more appreciated! Unlike in the US where you feel an obligation to give a 20% tip no matter how good or bad the service was.
