Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries before 2020 and all 7 continents, we have no plans to slow down anytime soon, and we are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

The fact that she saw the money and she thought you had just laid it out on the table speaks volumes of her character. This is so awesome of you guys. I’m so happy you were able to do this for her!

When she first went into the room and saw the money, she counted and said “哇靠、這麼多⋯”, which means “damn, thats a lot!” She probably later on used an app to translate the note. When Kara spoke to her about the tip, she said “its too much”, “is this even possible?”, “im scared”, “you scared me”. After the hug, she said “im about to cry”. She spoke in a respectful way.

I looked it up online and the average hotel cleaner in Singapore makes approx $1000 USD per month. So you just gifted her 2 weeks salary. Very lovely and thoughtful gesture.

Wow her reaction and how happy she is is totally priceless. She will probably remember an act of kindness like that for the rest of her life!

I salute the housekeeper's principle, she think of her job professionally..even calling her supervisor to know if it's really okay for her to have it. The integrity being so polite and also careful not to mess up with her job. What a nice worker. Thank you for making her day. That's a big help for her and all people now in the world need such a helping hands of care.💞

The fact that she didn't even touch the money when she saw it and just went to work says alot about that lady.i think she didn't even have the intention of getting the money

She basically keeps saying she is shocked and got a scare and can't take the money. She is actually a foreign worker(from China) working in Singapore. YOu definitely made her day! <3

When they began Nate wouldn’t pay to go on a Ferris Wheel. Now they’re giving away $500.

It’s crazy how you could have such a long conversation with someone who doesn’t speak the same language as you the chemistry was unreal between Kara and the housekeeper they were friends in a past life

loved how she was just casually glancing at the money every few seconds

On behalf of many Singaporean fans, thank you! The essential workers here in Singapore deserves the credits for working day and night during the pandemic. Despite keeping the industry going, they still put up a smile and continue their best effort. Kara and Nate, thank you 🙆🏻‍♂️

This is one of the reason we like to travel outside of the US because tips are usually not expected and so much more appreciated! Unlike in the US where you feel an obligation to give a 20% tip no matter how good or bad the service was.

I laughed when Kara was like “I’m about to cry” and then was like “I need to wash my hands” lmao. I love the kindness in this video!

The fact that she saw that money counted it but didn’t touch it tells me everything I need to know about her. She has my highest respect and admiration. Beautiful video. ❤️👊🏻👌🏻
