Very useful demonstration for cars with low clearance on the bumper cover. It's easy to scrape a curb when parking, and pull off a clip when backing away from the curb.

Although this (JB Weld 50133 Plastic Bonder) double tube syringe looks like epoxy, it's actually a two part urethane adhesive. This is the correct adhesive for bonding thermoplastics like nylon. Plastic radiator tanks in cars and trucks are made of nylon because nylon can handle the variations in temperature from -20*F to 220*F. I successfully repaired a three inch crack in the plastic top radiator tank in my 1997 toyota tacoma pickup one week ago. I used JB Weld plastic bonder 50139 which is the same formula as this one except the 50139 is black and matches the radiator, while the 50133 product used in this video is a tan color.

I think you suppose to light sand front and back of the damaged plastic . Next clean the damaged areas with rubbing alcohol and sand the back, put as much in the crack as possible . Then clamp and tape it together. Then apply that JBL at the back over 1 inch spread and put a plastic mesh over it to reinforce the entire area and more on top the mesh again.

I used normal jb weld and it’s more than what it should have got but at least I know I won’t get a crack there anymore 😂

Use Flexi Seal for cracked bumpers. Best Shit ever put on the market. Will never crack again. You can sand it too.

You must roughen the surface, then thoroughly clean with something like acetone. Better yet, imbed a Fiberglas reinforcement mesh into the epoxy on the back side. Simply laying the epoxy in without creating an adequate bonding surface will not last.

if you don't sand that before you use the jb weld it will crack within six months.
