Glad to see our little 45mm earned a place in your bag. :)

Really good review! It's nice to see a review by someone who actually knows how to take a great photo and doesn't obsess over charts and too much technical jargon. I've looked at numerous reviews of this lens and found yours to be the most informative and enjoyable!

Picked one up used / mint for $250 YAY! Stopped along the river on the way home from the camera shop and captured a few beautiful moments. Fall colors and light just beginning here so will enjoy this on my S5. They really are a match made in heaven! I know 50mm is the "normal" perspective, but I like being just a bit to the left.

This is a great lens, and packs a punch way beyond it`s` weight in the glass world use this on my Leica SL (601)... its my first choice when I go out it looks cool .

I just bought this lens with a S1R like last week (Christmas is early this year 😂). Didn't had time to play with it much yet, but I am more and more excited now 😍

It’s so nice to get a good recommendation for a L mount lens from someone still plying the trade. Just from your images alone a well earned sub. 🎯💥Keep up the good work. Rooting for ya 👌🏿

I'm so tired of only having ol' vintage lenses for recording myself, so I've been looking at videos for the best affordable option and I think this would be the one to get if I wasn't sold on that nifty fifty already. Just waiting for some cheaper ones to pop up and then I'll pounce, probably. This one is absolutely nice, and if that 50 didn't just come out.

Really nice colours and good rendering from a small prime. This one, and the new "I" series primes are very tempting as a kit for the S5.

Great video, when I noticed some of your images from the Atlanta skyline it dawned on me I have a feeling I bought a lens from you a couple years ago it was the Olympus 40-150 2.8 pro for my G9

Nice! you finally got your sigma lens.
remember you were looking forward to it. congrats and thank you for sharing your impressions!
meanwhile i ordered the 7artisans 50mm 1.1 and the LM adapter and got myself between a rock and a hard place: going for fast or AF... got to take both with me... and the worst thing: now can't help looking asquint at the lumix 85 and the sigma 105 macro (for portraits and products mostly).. darn!
what do you think about those two?

This lens is very soft, wide open....and I don't know why!

That initial focus seemed to be on your teeth and not your or is it just my old eyes?
