Analog Four MKII - The New Sound [JAM]

Elektron has refined the signal chain in the new Analog Four MKII to achieve a more mature sound, and a also brand new overdrive. This might seem like a small adjustment at first, but after working with it for a while I feel like it is much more than that. The sonic palette has broadened, all of the sounds have a more solid presence. Especially in the low end. Even the sounds that sound "exactly the same" as on the MKI do in fact benefit from the refined signal chain. I like what I hear.

I'm looking to buy a 4, but now used price for the mk1 have dropped to at least half price of a new one its a hard decide to go for Mk1 or 2! What is your take on it Cuckoo, is it worth going all in for the 2? or are used prices to much of a temptation now?

How would I integrate a machine like this in a conventional (guitars, drums etc. ) live band? As far as I can work out the synth would have to be the 'lead' instrument with the rest backing it up. Our band is trying to do more crossover stuff with tech and 'traditional' instruments but it ain't easy. Any suggestions, particularly of groups already doing this?

A jam like this really should be multitracked and made into a fully finished track... It's such a great vibe and so beautifully done that it could be even more than a wonderful jam. I love your talent and affinity with these machines. Terrific.

Good beats. There's definitely a good overdrive sound in that bassine for sure. This is on my list for future purchase but unfortunately not now. The mk1 will hold me till then. Lol. Would love to copy stuff from my mk1 to mk2 in the near future. 👍

Great melodies. I like how you keep the kicks so low in the mix. Many would try to have them drive a piece like this, but here there is space for the sounds to breathe. Still think the elektron reverb makes the new a4 sound colder than the raw sounds. would like more controls to dampen it or something like that.
