If you escape with the supplied meds from the squire, stash em and get the squire load out again to more free stuff. Penny pinching 😎

Also if you are struggling to make gold, take your squire load out each time and keep the equipment cost lower than 24.
stash squire portions, bandages, bonfires and keep selling items and you'll get a lot of gold.

I always buy 3 potions to take. If I don’t, I’m doomed. Usually though if it’s a good start run, I can find two or 3 more on the raid. So I end up not having to buy them because slowly I stock pile up. Beyond that, I try not to buy anything but maybe a weapon. Once I hit about 3k gold on saving, I buy a kit than move to the high roller and harder dungeons.

Edit: from there I usually don’t have to go back to normals unless I get on a lose streak.

I'm going to put this here: go see the Squire in the merchants tab. He can kit you out with starting gear, and more importantly, the potions mentioned here.

No. Find your squire in the market and set your base to have pots and bandages then just don’t drink any pots and extract and move them to stash then repeat. Free pots
