Today is Dec 2024. This tutorial no longer works, at least on my computer. The menu item under the Control Panel Sync control for Manage Offline Files is dead on my laptop. I am cursed by MS and cannot find any way to turn off sync/backup. I've been trying for 2 days.

Every week, I transfer a set of radio shows from an external drive to my phone and it's been a very easy process. But this week, instead of transferring, it started to synch onto my Android and it shows it's going to a folder called "Storage, " as a result, it's now synching and tranferring as I copy and paste too, taking up twice as much space on my phone. Why did this start and how do I stop it?
