This is all so true. Growing up, my mom was very open with me about her period, so it was always very “normal” for me to talk about it, where for some of my friends it wasn’t because they weren’t raised that way or even told about it by their moms or dads. I am grateful that my mother was always so open with me and I always knew when she had it and she would even ask me to go get a tampon or pad for her from the closet when I was a little girl. It prepared me so well for the day when I got mine for the first time. It was never weird for me! ❤

Wonderful video!! You're so right. Let's normalize women's experiences, periods, emotions, mental health so that we can pass it down to our own children and others. Society is not as open minded and they feel things that are natural are unacceptable. I'm so sorry you went through that with your dad. The story about your aunt made me jaw drop. I had no idea that women felt that they couldn't use the bathroom with a man present. Thank you for sharing this important piece of your past.
