In the whole episode, mc has been constantly complimenting the fmc; but fmc never once, look "1", "one time", "once", said any good things about him until it was at the end where she needs to. Calling him ugly, loner, dumb, stupid and so on. I know that Hina seems unlikable and cold, but when you remove the exaggerated personality that is played for comedy, she's not unlike how my quiet, shy, insular wife was when we were young. She too was not expressive with her emotions, and even when we started dating she was not outwardly affectionate when we were in public.

She would have very little to say when we were with our friends because she struggled in social situations, and she mostly just wanted people to leave her alone. Even when she asked me out it wasn't very romantic; hell, she didn't even ask -- she TOLD me that we were now going out and when our first date was going to be and also that we were going to homecoming together.

She was completely different in private, though, much like Hina is here. When it was just us in a quiet place she would talk with me endlessly and would have her hands all over me; all of her pent-up emotions would just come spilling out in a torrent.

It's important to remember that everyone is different. To some people, love isn't a burning passion so much as a gentle, soothing warmth. It may be more like the solace of a warm blanket, warding away the cold of the world as opposed to a raging wildfire that is impossible to ignore.
