If anyone’s wondering Aneesa had just moved to Sherman Oaks HS and basically Devi, The other indian girl who introduced her had cheated on the white guy (Ben) with another guy called Paxton. She was in a relationship with both of them without them knowing and Ben found on when she threw a party and said Paxton was her boyfriend in front of him. Ben has been understandably mad since that incident, and therefore, warns Aneesa that her Devi does not have a good reputation. Devi does not like Aneesa because when she first came she was instantly popular and had a very outgoing personality. She was also very kind and considerate so that made her very likesble and many new friends (Including paxton and Ben, which Devi still had a crush on both of them) Devi then tells her mom how much she hates aneesa cause she’s an indian girl who’s also very smart and she’s very likable while Devi is just known as an outcast and for cheating on the hottest guy in school. Devi’s mom forces Devi to invite Aneesa to her house on friday, which Devi eventually agrees to. It starts as a sleepover and then Devi actually end up liking Aneesa. They go to a tattoo parlor and then after that, they go to the roof of some place. That is where Ben says that Devi has a bad reputation and Aneesa should stay away from her.And then Aneesa makes the remark.
