My mom just passed away 7 weeks ago. The coming up to her time of passing, when I would be pushing at the gym, motivated to thrive and make her proud, I would envision the struggle I went through with everything that happened to her, and that at 1:55 the climax, is the moment I rise up with courage to face every obstacle in life, as she appears in the sky above in the form of an angel, smiling and radiating light down on me, filling me with the strength and courage to carry on and live the rest of my life making her proud.

I was going through a rough time when I first heard this song. I cried for half an hour the first time I heard this. I promised myself I would never forget the song or its name. I forgot. For months I looked for it, I knew the title had something to do with transcending, so that is what I looked up. I kept searching, I found many wonderful songs, but none were what I was looking for. As my search continued, I looked for titles that were synonyms to transcend. And then, I remembered. I raced to look it up. I typed in the name, the tune came to me. It washed over me. It felt as though I was already listening to it. As the song began, tears welled in my eyes. I felt the familiarity, I felt the hope. I was home.
