Mazda Miata Documentaries ND | EP5 Final Chapter?

preview_player
Показать описание
We conclude the Miata Documentaries with the ND for 2020. After several reviews and drives of multiple generations of MX-5, we discuss the technical side with Mazda Designers and Engineers. The ND marks one of the few affordable RWD cars on the market that is a dedicated product. While there are many cars and trucks on we try and explain why the Miata has brought so many car enthusiasts together.

This is an Independent Project Produced By Savagegeese

Sit back and enjoy the Series.

Mazda surely is the only carmaker left that sometimes affords to make decisions by heart and passion, not by pure economical sense. Thanks for that.
Great series BTW.

ND is one of the best pieces of engineering for the last... god, knows how many years. Why? Because of the price. Of course you can make something faster, grippier, lighter etc. etc... But to do it with a limited time, money, resources in the 2010's automotive atmosphere, is something truly amazing. Coleman's a legend. You too, Mr. Goose!

Can we take a second to appreciate Mazda as a car company. It's probably one of the few car companies that haven't put profits before making good to drive cars. Don't get me wrong, I know Mazda tries to make money, as any company should, but it's not their only concern. They are one of the few companies still around that have principles, vision, a core philosophy and try to stick to it even when it's more difficult to achieve. I really wish Mazda will succeed financially. Their sales are not great anywhere, despite making some of the most underrated and best driver's cars on the market. I hope some of you will consider a Mazda as your next purchase, because we need to keep this wonderful company alive and independent before it's wholly swallowed by Toyota, because it has gifted us a true dedicated enthusiast's car in a time when few companies (especially smaller ones) do so. I love you Mazda!

I have loved my ND1, my V1 transmission broke out of warranty and Mazda is still replacing at no cost to me. Thanks for standing behind your product.

"An aluminum valve cover is heavier than a plastic one. But we made it out of aluminum because that was the right thing to do." Not a direct quote, but when he said it I just about teared up. I just love it when I hear from engineers who love cars, and all that it takes to make a great one, as much as I love cars. Thanks!

Don't let this be the last generation Mazda.

Stuff like this is what makes you one of the best car YouTubers, SavageGeese. Keep making awesome videos!

A year later this is still the best source of information on the ND. The shop talk with Doug Coleman is pure gold, especially little details like the rear suspension toe in dynamics. Where else would you ever learn that? Thank you again for this series.

I quit Patreon after the whole debacle with their charging scheme. Mr Goose, the quality of this series is worth getting back into the fold and supporting creators directly. This is one of the best series of videos on Youtube, bar none, and you should be extremely proud of your work. I'll see ya on Patreon.

Dave Coleman was the star of these last two vids. Great job, goose.

The ND is my favorite Miata
It’s the best iteration of Mazda’s sports car while taking the spirit of the NA while being a modern car
The Miata is one of the only simplistic cars ever made

Hopefully buying a 17 RF Club this Sunday 🥴

Update: Just picked it up a couple hours ago. I love it. If you’re thinking about it, do it.

I’ve just turned 64 and have owned and enjoyed many many performance cars after gaining my driver’s license at 18. As a retirement present to myself I just bought myself a new ND Homura. After owning for just a month now I can categorically say that I shall never sell this superb roadster……….wow I’m so pleased! 👍

2 weeks ago I drove a 2023 RF manual and I now get why people love these cars. I am now looking to buy one but will also consider the true convertible also. This car took me back to one of my favorite light cars I owned a 89 CRX Si, every car enthusiast should own one. I will soon.

Update I just bought a 21 Convertible manual a week ago and I can’t stop driving it!!!

Never considered an ND until I watched your technical review. Waited for ND2, now own 2019 RF GT thanks to you.

Who on earth would give these videos dislikes? Seems to make no sense to me.

The series has been a labor of love and it shows. Thanks for doing this.

Incidentally, it was your original video on the ND that got me sufficiently interested to actually end up owning one.

Got my first one in 2019, a ND2. A lifelong dream to own one and finally I have. Well worth the wait as I think that it is just superb.

For the enthusiast, this series has been a rare treat. Loved every minute, thank you.
And you just upped the game.

People seems more obsessed with Bluetooth connectivity and screen size than chassis geometry and feel.

I think we need to go back to the roots.

Steering wheel. Pedals. Shift lever. No nonsense.

Experience the pure driving feel. Thanks Mazda!
