This video was like a cold bath for many people (me included). I only started to evolve in the language when I stopped being so perfectionist. It was harming my learning process and making me feel "not enough" pretty much all the time I needed to use the language in real life situations. After start using the language at work, I noticed that no one needs to be perfect. Everyone has their flaws and imperfections, and that's ok. As Thiago said, being 1% better today than you were yesterday is the healthy path.

This was Everything that I needed to hear! I'm a self-oriented perfectionist. Lately, I've been thinking a lot of this "habit" that holds me back from feeling that I am enough. Perfectionism to me is this sensation of never feeling enough. Enough worth, enough smart, enough pretty, enough valuable. I'm working hard on it, but I believe it's a life long journey, even longer than Learning English 😅😂. Thanks for this wiser words Thiago, I intend to watch it at least once per week, just as a reminder to myself. This is gonna be my daily encouraging video. Please, feel free to correct any grammar mistake.

Hi Teacher Thiago,
Congrats on amazing episode and for talking about a delicate issue.
In my case, being a perfectionist person has caused serious problem in my life. I used to think that I needed to be someone who could achieve same things as other. Nowadays, I've realized that I don't need punish myself when I can't achieve something, like my friends can (or something else). I just need to respect my progress, improve 1% each day, and understand that we need respect our own moment. Just enjoy the journey and give yourself the respect you deserve.

Hi Thiago!
Perfectionism wreaked havoc in my life when I was younger because I wouldn't do things if I thought they weren't perfect. But now I am 42 years old, and I understand that all of us are learning in life and struggling with our limits.

What a great track, man. I'm a perfectionist myself, and sometimes we end up being too hard on ourselves — and that's not okay. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to let that go. Much love, Thiago.

Acredito que devemos tentar alcançar o maior equilíbrio possível entre o consumo passivo e a prática oral da língua. Atenciosamente.👍🧐😁

Awesome. I'd said that this way to explore English was better than the usual way by teaching something. I mean, its doesn't overlap, for me was better though.

Hi Thiago, I think you might try making a video explaining some grammar tips using a board. I 've seen how some teachers has notoriously stood out doing it. Plus, your detail-oriented side and your charisma will go hand in hand to make the video interesting. It is just a humble opinion, take it with a grain of salt, greetings from Argentina, keep killing it yo !

Hello Thiago! I'm a perfectionist but not oriented for anyone or anything else (inside myself - persona or outside). There is controllers and dominants (it"s a matter of frequencies). Try to reaching goals is frustanting because depends of many factors. This author keeps his narrative only in horizontal plane. I don't feel anguish in persue perfection beyond this parameters. I agree with your final thoughts! Good reflections!

Awesome topic, Thiago! Is it possible to be more than one kind of perfectionist? I believe I'm the second and third type .
