I can relate! My Duchess bites me from time to time. Shelby is adorable and is playing with you. Those golden eyes just pop against that gray hair. A lovely cat.

You really have to piss off a british shorthair for them to even get slightly aggressive. Most calm cat's I've ever experienced the pleasure of being around.

Play biting is so cute. My cat does that with me too at times

This cat isn't truly aggressive. However, to me (opposed to what other commenters have said), it doesn't look like "play biting" either. It's serious, not play. The cat is communicating in the most clear and direct way it can that he or she likes the person but doesn't want to be petted right now. But he or she will want attention sometime later. ❤

The position of the ears from approx 0:47 onwards indicate he is slightly annoyed--those aren't "play bites". Believe me if this cat truly wanted to cause damage he could bite until you were left with bleeding puncture wounds. By licking you he's telling you he loves you, but at the same time he wants to be left alone right now. He'll play with you later!

My Blue draws blood when he bites me. Can't tell when he is playing and when he is touch I'm talking deep little bites. Not sure what to do. He is getting better....but still not there yet. I would love to see if I can get a vet to just file the two front teeth down just a little. Any thoughts are ideas? What is difference between british shorthair and Russian Blue? They look exactly the same to me. A Blues eyes will turn green after a couple of years..I adopted miine a few months ago and his are already green. They start off the color of your cats eyes.

Those are British short hairs, I just call them grey cats. :)
