Singing is perfect, but the "staccato" is too soft. Once, I listened to a live performance by the ROH, Mehta conducting, in which the staccato was much more forceful. Pity, the "Habanera", by Maria Ewing, of this performance can be found on YT. But it the audio stream seems to be edited for a more softer sound.

No! The aria/role is to heavy for her. The chorus sounds better.

Sopranos have such a vast repertoire, ranging from ingénues to evil schemers and everything inbetween. AND STILL they extend to mezzo repertoire. Why? Just why? Repertoire is written for different voices for a reason. 😒

No!!!! Listen to Denyce Graves sing this aria at the Richard Tucker Gala.

I hope unlike El-Khoury or Opolais mme De Niese is smart enough not to sing this piece on opera stage in full performance.

Why not let real mezzos singer this instead of undeveloped soubrettes?

Как это отвратительно. Начиная от звука и заканчивая образом что она преподносит. Мерзость...

Mutton dressed as lamb. She must have been shoe horned into that pink dress. But she sings beautifully.
