I got so emotional when I heard this song for the first time. It felt like the writer of this song read my mind & wrote it specifically for me. Over the years I've heard people say, "There's always someone going through alot worse than what you're going through". However, when my mother passed away.... that was a pain I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! I felt like "NO ONE" could help me or relate to the emotions I was feeling. I know that we're not suppose to question God, but I did. The pain was indescribable, but at the same time, my faith was strong enough to know that if God led me to it, He certainly would see through it. Me & God cool again lol.... I know he has my back. Besides, who's a better person to have your back other than our Creator? I say all of this to say, to whoever is reading this, I know that life gets hard sometimes but hang in there, have faith & continue to fight! YOU GOT THIS! You're far from where you're going, but way further from where u started.❤️

I think this song is more of talking than singing because even the title "Dear God" says a lot; when you feel discouraged, when u always lose but everyday you pray to God to help you or to be with you. You feel like your prayers are not heard because the pain is just too much and I can't contain it anymore, people telling that God will help while what you live is hard. This song talked to me so much, cus I felt like the song understood me and I finally realized that God loves me too much and I gotta trust in him
