Cornish Sketches - John Vallier 1956 (Part 1)

My first installment of John Vallier's "Cornish Sketches" series from 1953, from a 1989 edition published by Cramer Music. John Vallier was best known as a performer and writer about Chopin's music. He did not have a large output as a composer but finished his first and only piano concerto just a few days before he died. He was fond of Cornwall, in addition to this collection of five pieces (including a paino version of the famous Helston Flora), he also wrote a piece called "Witches' Ride" depicting the Witches of Zennor, Cornwall. I will learn and record the other three pieces in this collection at a later date.
