recently I’ve been waking up hungrier then usual, and angrier then usual.

My take on the Lore (I'm doing the full thing btw): Everything is just how horrortale was. Neutral run, core died, underground was starved. In the big core fight between Undyne and Sans, Undyne makes a slip up and Sans is able to teleport away. He starts a rebellion group against Undyne with some members from snowdin. He would have gotten many more members since basically all of the monsters in snowdin have the same views, but he is extremely paranoid after he literally JUST got betrayed… even then, lesser dog joins the group. Horror thought that he was too weak and oblivious to ACTUALLY still be a genuine member of the guard, and so he let him in for the “funnies.”
Horror made a plan. He had been thinking, “Undyne has determination, she’s ALSO one of the strongest monsters in the underground. Why don’t I just take her eye, instead? A taste of her own medicine.” All the monsters were in support.
They discussed. A few members would go out and scout the hotland core area, distract the guards if there were any for sans to come in and kill them to further progress. It was perfect.
However, lesser dog had apparently turned out to be a genius. He snuck into the rebellion as a royal guard member, and heard all of this. He told Undyne all of it.
On the night of the attack, she set up her guards in strategic locations. Ever since her embarrassing failure, she had been training hard. She gained confidence, more than ever. She didn’t need the guards for help. Just use her IMMENSE strength, knock sans down, pin him down, and steal his eye.
The guards were perfect for Undyne to prepare. They distracted the scouts as Sans progressed flawlessly. However, in the process, the scout rebellion members died. It was all for a good cause. Sans came and slayed the royal guards as well.
And so he came on, eventually to the core, almost to New Home where he presumed Undyne was. However, halfway through the Core he was stopped by Undyne herself.
The fight ensued. I won't bore you with the details, but imagine it being insanely
In the process Sans got his head blown out, but he was EXTREMELY careful with his eye, which he has always had since that time, and will never stop protecting it.
Sans decided the best way to do his plan was to dupe Undyne, he only decided to do this later because Undyne began to run out of stamina.
So he did. He let Undyne give him a kick, and as she leapt to Sans within less then a second (if she hadn’t had less stamina it would have been impossible to respond to her reflexes), however Sans predicted this. A bone struck from the ground pushing Sans back a few feet with the propulsion, and from pure luck it struck Undyne straight between her eyes, piercing DIRECTLY through her brain.
He didn’t have much time. I mean, he had more than it would usually be, because the brain pierce made it harder to un-die. So he immediately ripped her eye out and inserted it in the Core. He was in a rush to get out of there, but looking back at Undyne…
He ran back and ripped her other eye out. At the time this was purely for pettiness, but functionally it meant Undyne couldn’t see to grab her other eye from in the core.
Once Sans got back, he served snowdin Undyne’s other eye, as they all congratulated and thanked him, as now the power was back up!
For many years things continued as normal. They had no leader- but their happiness allowed their mindsets to be more optimistic, even IF they still had to eat human flesh.
Without a leader bad stuff did grow over time. However, after these years, the Core started to lose power. Undyne’s eye wasn’t as strong as Sans’, and wouldn’t last as long. This was very worrying, and there was nothing at all Sans could do.
And for the second time, the core lost power. Everybody was furious. They were miserable again, and it drove the community to a purge-like state without a ruler.
Sans somehow managed to “keep” his cool. He still fed the underground with his rations, and starved himself.
One day, when feeding out his rations to hotlands, some ex-royal guard members spotted him. They think that because HE killed Undyne and the core shut down again that it’s his fault, so HE should give up his eye as a “sorry” or to fix things, so they rushed at him, attempting to attack. Sans had to defend himself, so they did. The royal guards were killed.
However, a monster saw Sans butcher the guards AND the fact that Sans killed Undyne (even though it was to fix the core it failed in the end, so they couldn’t see past that and his true intentions). They had no context, and it appeared that Sans was killing the monsters for no reason? They RUSHED back to snowdin and told them all, “Sans has gone mad! He just killed 2 monsters for no reason, it was horrible! I can’t believe what I saw!” So Sans was heading to Snowdin to give them THEIR rations, but when he got there he was jumped by the monsters in a backstab ambush. This makes him believe all the underground is trying to kill him. Hotland and snowdin are, the entire underground must be conspiring.
So in a counter movement and out of spite… he kills them all. Even some monsters come up in attempts to help, but Sans is driven insane.
He had been HELPING THEM. And did they ever say THANK YOU even ever since the core broke down or shown ANY KIND OF APPRECIATION? No. So with his assumptions, he slaughters the monsters, no, MONSTERS in the underground.

Context:Horror sans timeline wasn't getting any new people leading to starving meaning monsters were dying which included horror sans and eventually all would be dead because of this horror sans had no choice but to eat the others after he did this till there was no one left and he started to go insane untill a human arrived

How I personally think Horrordust became an AU: It started off by the fact that Aliza has done genocides on repeat, just like in Dusttale, however as Sans is murdering monsters, due to his starvation, he also **eats** them, not just killing them, therefore, gaining the nickname, ''The cannibal''

in this AT Horror Sans was unable to contain his hunger for much longer after Aliza fell underground and devoured all the monsters he saw, thus becoming even crazier.
