It should have shown them growing while they were speaking.

I think this campaign is beautiful
It helps and inspires women everywhere to show they're not weak like others make them out to be.

Yes, they have a long way to go, and sadly, some men and even some other women are not making it easy for them, but this might help open a few eyes and bring forth a new generation of confident young women to empower the world alongside their equal male counterparts.

Like a girl comes from when children were all referred to as girls, boys were knave girls and girls were gay girls, so to do something like a girl just means behaving or doing something like a child.

That's odd.  When I was growing and we said "You throw like a girl" we were talking to a boy, and there were hardly ever girls around.  I think someone is just trying to stir the pot, to try and make some money...

This female empowerment is great but people seriously need to start looking at masculinity and talking to young boys.  The state of masculinity is beyond terrible and how men view themselves.  It might be worse in the gay community but masculinity needs to be talked about, without addressing both sexes on gender identification issues and stereotypes there will never be true equality.  Femininity is still extremely frowned upon with guys and within the gay community and men need to be talking about what masculinity means and doesn't mean, especially for young boys growing up.  Young boys growing think they need to this form of ideal masculinity to be accepted into society and this comes with A LOT of stress and nobody is talking about this.

his video tries to suggest that "doing things like a girl" is automatically an insult to girls.  I don´t think it is because, clearly, men and women do things differently.  And there are plently of women who run and hit "like girls".

Now, if there are girls who do NOT run or hit like girls, then they will be told that they run or hit "like boys"... and THAT is intended an insult to them.  What is wrong IS NOT telling someone that they act "like a girl" or "like a boy".  What is wrong is telling someone that, on account of their sex, they SHOULD behave a certain way.

Doing things "like a boy" is ALSO an insult if you are a girl.  Or would you like to be told that you "dress like a boy" or "walk like a boy"?  Gender references should be thrown out and THE FUCKING VICTIM COMPLEX that women have should go along with it.  We are ALL affected by traditional gender roles, created by both men and women.

The sentiment is good and all, but men are, on average, more physically capable of high level athletics.

This ad is just annoying. Many unskillful, clumsy and in athletic little girls do actually run, kick and throw like that so why is that necessarily a bad thing? What's empowering is teaching girls and young women that their value is not in that they can kick, throw, run, solve a mathematical conundrum or run a corporation just as well as a male.

I think it would be great to see women and girls basking in their own God given greatness and power without thought of how strong, athletic, brilliant or talented males are. That's true empowerment but that's not what the feminist movt. is about these days and just one reason why I renounced feminism long ago.
