Rest in peace, Dame Vera Lynn. Your songs are still a source of motivation in the dark days of our time. Auf Wiedersehen

Recorded in 1952, accompanied by a chorus of soldiers and airmen of His Majesty's Forces, with orchestra under the direction of Roland Shaw.

There's no music like this anymore, as a 30 year old I'm always being asked why I listen to vera Lynn, the ink spots, mills Brothers, nat king, etc, and I always say listen to it and tell me the message isn't pure.

Beautiful song. One of my favorite eras for film, fashion, and music is the 1940s. Timeless works of art came from that period!

My dad played this album as part of my brother's and my night time music. I have been searching for it for 60 years now!
