Epic legitimately killed the kicks cosmetics before they even released, making these possibly the first ever “dead on release” cosmetics in Fortnite. There’s no way in hell that anyone will be forking over $6-$10 in v-bucks for in game shoes.

As someone who collects Jordan’s, Yeezys, etc in real life, the kicks should be 200-300 vbucks, but maybe 500-600 vbucks if it’s major collab, for example the Dior Jordan’s or a balenciaga shoe with many styles

While the 50 vbucks price increase on battle pass is insignificant, the movement of 500 vbucks to the extra tiers(This year) made it much harder to fully get all the vbucks from each battle pass.

The fact that you have to stay subscribed is awful for people who buy one month and cancel like me, it is not possible to complete a normal battle pass (level 200) in a single month, meaning I'd be forced to spend another $12 until I get to level 200 unless I wanna buy the passes separately, really scummy

Edit: 11:05 actually pretty smart, wait till you finish all the passes / the season is almost over and them pay the $12 to gain everything at once

Deadass one of the worst possible updates on fortnite. Not simply because of the cosmetics it's specifically that they put a 10$ shoe that you can barely see in game

My question is, why would anybody in there RIGHT MIND buy a PS5 solely for an exclusive fortnite skin that's not even exclusive and will return to the shop at a later date??

For me, a lot of recent things Epic has done like the main battle pass now going for 1000 is really adding on to how much greedier they have become as of lately. I still have no idea how they thought that players would be ok with spending nearly 10 dollars for just 1 shoe, when A. they are only on like 10% of your skin, let alone the bottom part meaning you won't see it as well, and B. that is around the same price as other skins, which can also come with extra items like backblings and what not.

May be a bit off topic but something I randomly want to throw in as well is just how bad the item shops have been, I know everyone has already complained about it, but I don't understand if they actually want money or not lol. I remember that I used to want so many items in the shop, especially emotes, and would grind the hell out of Save the World or every now and then spend a bit of money to get some of the cosmetics, but now I'm sitting with 3K V bucks with nothing to spend on since its the same items that come back.

There is so much more I could rant about but I believe we all are fully aware about the issues at hand.

I really like this game and would love to see it be the best it can be as I have a lot of fond memories with it, but it really disappoints me seeing the direction this game has been heading and I really hope they can pick themselves back up. It could just be me not being used to the many changes this game has been making as of late but I just wanted to express how I felt about Fortnite as of the recent years.

(To shine a bit of positivity, I have been able to replay older games and try out many other games I'd likely never have thought about playing due to me not playing Fortnite as much as I used to, so there's that :) )

Ok, basically this update is very anti-friendly for free to play players in their majority.

The kicks thing is a scam, that they cost the same as a battle pass and you barely see them in the game, and that they can only be used in BR, and considering that several skins have better shoes in their models by themselves, like...no thanks

And the 50 vbucks may not be much of a difference, but for people like me whose only source of vbucks is from the extras in battle passes, those extra 50 do kinda hurt, and especially now that they're also adding another pass for Og mode, how great...

This is already becoming abusive, especially for people who cannot afford to spend on the game, not even for a month of crew, that's the biggest problem i'm seeing here

OG Pass is hype, the shoes shouldn’t be more than 600 vbucks, and it’s kinda shitty I already payed for the music pass and I won’t get my vbucks back for it since it’ll be past 14 days of me purchasing it.
