Looking at a mint, practically new Atari Falcon030 that the prior owner says has 4 hours of usage on it and for the rest of the 30-some-odd-years has been stored in the original box. Has got to be the oldest "new" computer I've ever bought!

Man you are lucky. I never owned an Atari, but have lusted over the Falcon and will likely never own one. I would love to find a "new" Falcon to add to the Amigas I started collecting/building just before the pandemic. Congratulations. Take good care of the old girl.

I almost bought it. The price was exceptional, I just couldn't really do it at this time. I'm glad I got to see a video about it though!

I see a TS1000 with a ZXpand up there! (I designed a 3d printed case for it up on Prusas site if you want a case) - Eventually I'll write a hi-rez version of Joust for the TS1000. I had the 520, 1040 and TT030 all new back in the day, but the Falcon was rare as hens teeth even then, and totally uncompetitive when it came out so I never got one. I tricked out the TT (running MINT and MagiC but can't remember which I settled on) and it was a great "real" computer vs. the 8bit era where they were mostly a hobby rather than a tool.

I got a Falcon in Jan '94 and sold it that summer to buy a PC. Wish I had kept it!
