My first car was a 79 Monte Carlo, when I bought it 87 it had 88k on it and I paid $200 dollars for it, no rust at all straight body, headliner was hanging down and the small strip of vinyl on the back of the roof was shot. I replaced the valve stem seals and ran it for several years, great car.

My second car, purchased in 1984, was a '79 MC. It had a charcoal-over-silver two-tone paint scheme, front buckets, and the floor shifter. Not sure what that package was known as, if it even had a label. It was a strong car.

This year and model was my first car back in the early 90's.
Best car I've ever owned. After an accident on black ice and rear ending a semi truck, it bent and locked up the hood so it wouldn't open. Could still drive it fine but wasn't able change the oil or work on it anymore. Had it for a year after that. The thing just wouldn't die. Even drove it to the dump.
Looking back I wish I kept it and found a way to cut open the hood. Was going to paint her black, with chrome trim and heavy back tires. Interior was already a nice black.

Had a black '79 about 25 years ago. Had to put up with all the Training Day comments when it was released. I always had to say: I already had the car before the movie came out!

I'm not a fan of this style car until I seen this car. The dark grey with these rims is perfect. I would love to have this car. I'm shocked at how awesome it looks. Great job!!

I love the body lines on the 79 Monte but not the front nose.
Is there a conversion kit to replace the front nose with maybe a 1980-83??

Only issue I saw was the Driver sitting too close to the steering wheel other than that 👍🏾
