‘Series of vulnerabilities’ discovered in solar power systems

Bitdefender Director of Threat Research Bogdan Botezatu says he has discovered a “series of vulnerabilities” in cloud infrastructure for solar power systems.

“We were able to hijack devices that would not belong to us and we started looking at how big this infrastructure is,” he told Sky News Australia.

Reportedly, around 20 per cent of the world’s solar-powered output has been vulnerable to a cyber attack.
