Playing at 1.25 helps listening to this narrator- once you've adjusted to it!

Cat videos and A People's History of the World. A very eclectic Youtube channel

When they say "A People's" whatever, it better be that way. Yet this narrative is historicism, less geologic and even less anthropogenic.

At least this guy is up front with his class struggle-bazed interpretation of history.

Shame isn't it. Probably an interesting book if you could concentrate on the text and were not distracted by the delivery.

Another upload from YT that's NOT in the public domain but you'll never get a response from the "channel". Smh

i struggle to find an unbiased view of history. i just want a view of world history from a neutral perspective. Telling it to me as it happened with no liberal or conservative view spun into it and then let me draw my own conclusions based on how the events transpired.

I'll never make it through 7.5 hrs of this narrator....3 minutes and I'm beyond annoyance. Bye

If you read Jared Diamond or many others or observation of tribal socieites you see very clearly the 'other' are other tribes who they war with, kidnap, with reported cases of making slaves of some members along with agreements and exchanges. So the inclination of war and compitition between tribes is extremly ancient. It has also been observd in Chimps by Jane Goodall and others. Within tribes it is true there is or was great men to the whole thing.utual aid qualified by the various and complex rules within each tribe. So this piece is half right but being half wrong I'm not sure how useful it is--until I listen to the whole thing. There are too many inaccuracies and flaws to cover. But one grievous omission, almost a sin, is the role of environmental degradation in ending & destroying many civilisations. Far as the reconquest by Justinian's genius General of the West. The Justinian plague was probably the reson that could not be maintained. Coming up are the years with no summers from the volcanic super eruption in Indonesia leading to the 'worst year to be alive in history.'
