En una entrevista en la revista Rolling Stone en 1994 hacia la viuda de Cobain, Courtney Love, describió la cancion como "Lo ultimo que escribio en nuestra cama". Ademas menciono que el titulo originalmente era "Dough, Ray and Me", que despues termino siendo "Me and My IV".

Se sabe que existen dos versiones de la cancion y con la letra reescrita de "Me and My IV", los cuales no salieron a la luz, y solo se pudo escuchar la grabacion acustica de Cobain

Incluido en el box set With The Lights Out lanzado en el 2004, siendo la primera vez que los fanaticos pudieron escucharla
