for everyone this mechanic was implemented only in the early times of the game when it was only for java
I don't know how this came to console edition but this was a mechanic not a glitch
the only thing that here is a glitch is that this existed on console edition and it has noting to do with that the lava is who makes the contact with the water
flowing lava and flowing water always convert in to cobblestone! you get stone if a water source block comes in contact with flowing lava and obsidian if a lava source block comes in contact with flowing water

that what is shown in the video is no longer in the game!

Thiss is not a glitch. When u place the redstone it doesn't let the water go to the lava but it lets the lava flow to the water and wen lava touches water it makes obsidian but wen water touches lava first it makes cobbles stone. Get it now. Just trying to explain I'm not showing any hate👍🏻

Go to the nether with only an iron pickaxe and a chest, any pickaxe would work but i use iron, then break the nether portal by breaking one obsidian, place the chest and put your pickaxe in, jump in lava and when you respawn go in the nether through your portal and you should see your previous portal when you get to the nether, get your diamond pickaxe then break the previous portal down, then just repeat this.
I don’t know if this works for java and bedrock but it works on ps4 edition
(I know it's bad, i'm gonna buy it in my pc soon)

if you like have a whoch farm make it so it dispenses redstone out to you and put in offhand and hold you picaxe in main hand and mine and place and do f3 and T and afk!
