What a tribute @Evo India.
I'm feeling really proud to own the legendary machine, The Polo 1.0 TSI
You guys should push VW India to bring back the Polo facelift.

Superb each and every minute of this Episode, so much passion in every word. Proud owner 2014 PoLO 1.6GT TDI ( my first car)
That combination of performance, build quality, handling and efficiency at that price was, is and will remain unmatched, going strong as new after 140k kms still delivering 20+ kmpl on highway a Car....

Lovely tribute to the Polo…. Extremely proud to own two of them. 😀❤️

You guys missed out on the 1.0 L MPI engine that Polo had as a replacement to the old 1.2 MPI. With 76 ps and slightly lower(compared to old 1.2 MPI) 95 nm torque, it was also quite refined and fuel efficient with better NVH levels. It was just adequate for city and occasional highway trips.

While I agree that Taigun offers everything that Polo missed, it is not yet the perfect upgrade for existing Volkswagen Polo, Vento owners. It still misses out on a lot like:

1. Fit and Finish issues: exposed screws, cheap sun visor, cheap roof-liner (improved from the first lot but not quite up to the standards). Polo Vento had better plastics and just better overall fit and finish. I still feel the door thud of Polo Vento is better than 2.0 cars.

2. Puny horn - just doesn’t sound VW enough.

3. Signature VW feature - Opening/Closing windows via remote.

4. One touch up down for all four power windows.

The 2.0 cars are appealing to the ones who are new to VW Group. But unfortunately these shortcomings are putting off the loyalists and existing owners who wish to upgrade within the same brand. These are not big issues but definitely play a role in decision making for a customer.

However, a big thank you to Volkswagen for keeping the driving dynamics intact. I completely agree that even the MQB A0 IN cars are fantastic to drive. ❤️❤️

Such a lovely tribute to Polo and that finish with the Taigun was brilliant. I could absolutely relate to the fact that the Taigun has Polo’s genes. I had to trade in my Polo for the Taigun GT. The first thing I felt after spending some time with the Taigun was that it was as if my Polo evolved and got bigger.
I was wondering why no one was talking about it. It came as a pleasant surprise when you mentioned😍😇

Absolutely loved the video! I had the polo 1.6 MPI back in college and loved it so much. Even with a stage 2 tune and free flow exhausts, it was no match for stock GT TSIs but the car had so much character and there was such a sense of pride watching Sirish hoon the 1.6 on the rally stage. Had such fond memories that I got myself a 09 GTI as my first car in the US!

The sort of noises that came out of Sirish sir's mouth out of excitement in this video are a testimony to the feeling this car can give an enthusiastic. I've always wanted a Polo. Could never own one. Considered a used one, but was scared of the ownership costs. I hope they launch the facelift though.

Thank u Sirish to come up with a vlog on our loving polo. We own 2014 1.2 l petrol model in grey colour. We love it. Bought it for my wife. She really adores it. Mainly used fir city drives but occasionally we take it on highways. It doesn't disappoint in performance. Driven at 150km per hour. So stable, grippy and wow cornering. I own 2013 Rapid. I love these German cars. I donot intend to upgrade for now. Love both the cars. Thanks again for the beautiful vlog Gone but not Forgotten. Love you.

Historical account of Polo and its evolution through time ultimately into Taigun is a very welcome move. I have also test drive all the available crossovers and compact suvs in the market and finally select Taigun GT for excellent quality of drive.
