Murmansk is the largest beyond the Arctic Circle city in the World. It is located in the north-west of Russia. The Sea Port on the coast of Kola Bay which is a part of Barents sea, which is a part of Arctic Ocean.

I'm Norwegian and my great grandfather worked in Murmansk in the 1950s. Interesting to learn the history of how the city got its name! Would love to visit one day!

Thank you Sergey! I always wanted to see this city. A lot of Canadian sailors died during the "Murmansk Run" getting supplies to USSR during the war. We have cenotaphs to remember those brave men.

👍Вы бы видели Рыбный порт в восмидесятых годах!!!! Училась в Архангелькой мореходке, практику проходила там!!! Самые лучшие воспоминания! Работала в цехе, где делали рыбные пельмени из трески моего роста(158см😂)белый фарш со сливочным маслом!!! Вкус помню до сих пор!!Рыба живая утром в магазинах, детские троллейбусы, позже, став специалистом, командировки, поездки к мужу рыбаку!!!Город красивый, Алёша и Долина Уюта, мы там жили, праздники СОЛНЦА!!!👍😂Классный Обзор, Благодарю, освежила воспоминания о юности!!!билет на самолет из Архаггельска стоил 13руб.!😂Хочу обратно в СССР, 😘

This is quiiite an interesting city for me -- my grandfather was there several times during WWII (Patriotic War)...he didn't have many stories about Murmansk, because I think he lost some friends along the way -- but I know he was there +1 Like :) I click the bell to see when you post, I want to see more! :D
