York U’s community members who decide to travel to the pollinator gardens – designated as a haven for birds, bees and butterflies – on Chimneystack Road and Ian Macdonald Boulevard will find an innovative surprise among the native plant and wildflower species. The gardens are reflective of not just BEEc efforts but tied to broader ones by York looking to advance UN SDG goals looking to contribute to protection, restoration and sustainable use of ecosystems to halt biodiversity loss.
