The Storyline : U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent Luke Hobbs and his team travel to Rio in order to apprehend Dom and Brian after the DEA agents' murders on the train, which was attributed to Dom and his group. With assistance from local officer Elena Neves, they make their way to Dom's safehouse, only to discover that Reyes' men are attacking it. Dom suggests that Brian, Mia, and the three of them split up and leave Rio as they flee, but Mia then confesses that she is expecting Brian's child. Dom suggests they stay together and take Reyes' money so they can start over.

The trio assembles a group to carry out the heist, enlisting the help of Han Lue, an old friend of Dom's from both the previous and third Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift movies, Roman Pearce and Tej Parker from 2 Fast 2 Furious, Gisele Yashar, a former Braga associate from the previous movie, and Dom's Dominican hijackers from the previous movie, Tego Leo and Rico Santos. Later, after saving Mia from being taken by Reyes' men, Vince joins the team and wins Dom's trust once more.
