not an “i’m not a robot” box, but an “i’m not anish” box. perfect.

When this happened, it was HILARIOUS. The art community was crazy mad at Anish Kapoor, and he deserves it!

If I recall, the one Anish Kapoor had was also toxic, and Stuart Semple's was non toxic. And this happened with another colour as well if I remember.

It actually started with Pinkest Pink, then progressed to Black 3.0. Anish also somehow got his hands on pinkest pink and flipped the bird to Semple with it covered all over his finger on Instagram. Semple then made the glitteriest glitter, with the stipulation that the glitter was made from very, very sharp pieces of glass.

Semple is an amazing troll 😂

I like how as soon as he learned about how Anish wouldn’t let anyone else buy the paint, he was like “Alright, I’ll make my own blackest paint but YOU can’t buy it.”

Semple also did the same with Pinkest Pink, and a few others I believe. Kapoor did get his hands on Pinkest Pink, though.

Anish Kapoor also made a sculpture here in Chicago and he called it “Cloud Gate” but people started calling it the bean and Kapoor hates that we call it the bean 😂

I love this controversy so much. The pettiness of artists is beautiful

I brought the black 2.0 (he made that before 3.0) and there is a physical waiver that comes with it that you need to sign to say you aren't Anish Kapoor and you won't give it to him.

My former teacher was involved in this situation, he worked with nano labs to create the blackest black and made some pieces of art to promote it. He ended up making a Ted talk about it. He brought some of the paint in to class and I got to see this stuff up close in a gallery. Its wicked cool.

At this point nobody should be allowed to copyright words or colors

Don't forget that when Anish did manage to get his hands on some of Stuart's paints, he posted them while flipping the camera (and Stuart) off with his finger dipped in the paint. So Stuart made Diamond Dust, miniscule shards of glass used as clear and beautiful sparkles, and basically said stick your finger into that, Anish.

Also stuart semple's art stuff is just really freaking good. He has a glow in the dark paint powder set that I used to paint little pixies on my guitar, and I've used the black 2.0- it's really nice, It's a decent matt black paint, worth the money too. TL;DR support Stuart semple <3

The second part of the story was actually about the pinkest pink, but Anish Kapor still ended up getting his hands on a it. He then proceeded to dip his middle finger in it, took a photo of it, and posted on his social media
