Firebase packages need a complete Dart rewrite. They use the native libs now, and it's a mess of a what supports what, how do they differ per platform. Firebase is just not ready at all, especially not on Flutter. For example this package (remote config) crashes my app on MacOS, does _something_ on the web, and works on iOS and Android.
