I am very interested in hearing the opinions of EU skeptics out there. If the EU ceases to exist, what kind of back up plan would you have for your countries to stop the growing influence of China, US, India, and especially the nations of Africa (which experts believe will become a superpower in the future due to the enourmous populations and resources eventually)
So in terms of military defence, what's the back up plan? what will stop invasions from bigger countries? what will stop populists from taking power and declaring war on between your european neighbors in order to preserve their own power? just because nowadays it seems improbable does not mean it cannot happen.
It would be a shame for Europe to disintegrate into feudal states where they become overwhelmed by other future superpowers. Is it not obvious there are forces out there (china) that wish that exact possibility?

I love how Conservative Europeans love nationalists from all over Europe, even though countries with ultranationalists typically go to war with each other. Why solve problems through economic integration when you can just blame different ethnic groups?
