Great tips, Chris. I just got the Mate 20 Lite as a "freebie" from Huawei when I bought their new 13 inch Matebook laptop. (Not a bad deal!)

So this Mate 20 Lite is just for playing around for me... I am impressed with the quality of the camera but only under bright "sunny day" conditions. As soon as it's overcast, however, the photos become ridiculously dark with apparently no "tap the viewfinder to adjust the exposure" slider bar (like my Samsung Galaxy S7 has). The Samsung is great in this regard... Just tap the screen and a slider bar pops up to adjust the lighting. ...

There seems to be no simple solution with the Mate 20 Lite, however. It has a ridiculously complex camera menu that gives some controls over f-stops and the like... but these (even if they might work) are impossible to get to "in a flash" (no pun intended). I can't even be sure messing with those settings would lighten up the exposure.

Odd that Huawei includes a goofy "create a moving avatar" option in the camera menu (ya... like I would EVER need that) but gives no simple way to adjust the exposure level "on the fly".

Am I missing something? In your little dance of death with the Mate 20 Lite, did you find any easily accessible way to adjust shot exposure level?

That's nice and all but did u know that you could turn off the flashlight when your screen is off by pressing the volume down button. Unfortunately now when you do that it thinks that you want to use quick call.
