8 hr flight free upgrade to 1st . People just wanted to drink, talk with people they already know on the plane and sleep. Also they are more separated so it's harder to talk to people. They had a visitor chair per section if you wanted to talk to a friend because they were so far apart. There are cheaper ways to get to know people.

I only fly first class but rarely fly so it balances out. It is a completely different experience.

Be smart with your money buy cheap everything except housing and basic appliances if i had money i would do that
