As the tension rises in the Great Lakes region between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, African Union mediator in the Horn of Africa and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has called for calm.
Obasanjo, who is also involved in the Ethiopian peace talks alongside former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and former South African Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo Ngcuka, addressed members of the Pan African Parliament in Midrand, north of Johannesburg.
