I believe that the fingerprint scanner alone is a huge upgrade. But it's a feature the A0x series should have had years ago 😅

I guess the a06 was updated a little to match how the other A-series looks. At least it has a fingerprint scanner...

I have an A02 bought by my dad to my grandma, I can guarantee that phone is barely usable nowadays, installing apps take forever, the UI barely have any animation at 720p and I have to use adb to reduce the resolution to 480p to reduce the SoC load. It's still fun to use a slow phone from time to time even I have a S23.

Not much may be different from the 05 to 06, but for those who hold a phone for 4-6 years, they appreciate the newsr latest release for the years of upgrades.

To sum the video really quick only difference between the two phones a05 and a06 the new one has fingerprint scanner and it thinner.

Throughout this video I counted like 5 changes, I wouldn't say they haven't changed anything but it's definitely minimal.

What they did makes perfect sense to me - they are rationalizing the line-up. It is NOT identical = with the A05 you got no fingerprint sensor - you had to bump up to the A05s to get the fingerprint and a third camera sensor. It was the same strategy for the A04. They also had an additional "e" model which came in cheaper. But with this, they've gotten rid of those "s" and "e" models - so now you get a fingerprint sensor on the regular A06 - and your next model from the a06 is the a16 which then adds an extra camera and an actual processor. Simpler, less unnecessary variants I think they've balanced it nicely - merged three variants into one model - so recycling the chipset was the only way to maintain price of an "e" model while still bringing in at least one feature from an "s" model. This model is VERY IMPORTANT because in emerging markets there is a company called Transsion breathing down their necks. You have to put up features - TANGIBLE features that no-techie users can readily see an appreciate. Anybody can see the difference that a fingerprint sensor makes. It's also cheaper than the a05 coz it now has to sell to those previous "e" model buyers.

(For me, I just saved up a few more bucks just to purchase an A25. It was on sale in my countru at that time only about less than 250$). You get twice the refresh rate, better processor, dual speakers, and still has the headphone jack!

I've also noticed with other Samsung phones some of them look like they've just been re-released.

Look at the Samsung Galaxy A15 4g and the Samsung Galaxy A24 4g and try to find a difference.

This guy is great. And I enjoy watching his videos. But as it's the cheapest phone in Samsungs lineup, I'm OK with 720p screen. I'm also OK with it being LCD. I like the addition of the fingerprint scanner. But yes, the processor should have had atleast a little bump in speed. As it's the phones biggest issue.

I have a03 core and going to buy a06 today😊 i think it can handle my day today activities. I don't play any games

If you buy a phone every year it doesn't really make a huge difference but the target is for people with a budget so most people have 3-4 years old phone so to them its a huge difference

After reading the a06 specs I got the A05 because it's the same phone 😂 the only difference is the finger print sensor

A05s is better in a lot of ways but there is 1 thing the A05 does better, battery life. I got the A05 and my friend got the A05s. We played COD for 30 minutes and his battery went down by 10% while my A05 went down by only 4%. This is not a gaming phone though, all are set in low graphics. I think the A0X series are perfect as a google maps, work phone or media consumption phone.

Also, install a custom rom (pixelOS is my choice) as it will make the performance a lot better.
