I have a skinny rescue Arabian mare. She was abandoned and not taking care of. We bought her for $2500 but should’ve been for free. My mom didn’t care abt the price she just cared about her being healthy. Same as me. We feed her 24 pints a day. When it’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner I give her 8 pints and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil and 1/2 cup of canola oil. Canola oil gives horses a tone of muscle and it’s very sweet to horses, they LOVE THE TASTE! Vegetable oil gives horses a tone of fat and nutrients they need. She gets 1 cup of canola oil a day and 1/2-1 cup of vegetable oil a day.

hey! love the purina senior that’s what i feed but just a tip u don’t have to take it since you know ur horses best ofc! but i recommend putting a bit of water in the feed and soaking it i use to not do it and my senior horse chocked the vet told us to water it down since it’s senior! like i said u isn’t have to take this tip since u know ur horses best!! love ur channel

Purim’s equine must have an ENTIRELY different philosophy about the feeding of horses than of dogs. Yes, they have the expensive ads with beautiful YOUNG dogs that have likely NEVER eaten Purina in their life! My dogs would and will never, ever see that trash in their bowls. Your supplements and and the feeding of REAL food ( hay plus whatever) is likely marking the difference .

Just because they are safe doesn’t mean that are nutritious, too much cereal grains and high fats in these types of feeds and getting excited for meal time can mean they aren’t getting enough forage and means that there is too much sugar
